Giving It A Modern Twist

Tutu skirts have been huge lately and they were on my Holiday dressing list of must haves and still are. A full skirt cinched at the waist has an automatic flair of vintage femininity and usually I would take advantage of this and keep within that style. For this look I really wanted to give it a modern twist. Adding animal print, or in this case a reptile print, is a perfect way to give anything a more modern and edgy touch. Adding a great belt would have given the look a more casual touch, making it super versatile. Hope you have an amazing day & like this look!

Me dejan saber.

Making It Work

Learning to reinvent our closet is a must, for all of us! I've had this dress for a little over two years and it got slightly shrunken in the dryer, so it stopped being a more serious occasion kind of dress. Instead of giving up on it I thought that there had to be another fate for it, I still love it! I use it now as a dressier casual option, it's great for going to brunch or running some errands when you to want to look really chic and not like your running all over the place! The belt was key in dressing it down, knotting the belt like this is a clever way to make it more interesting. I kept everything in natural tones, but went for this vintage bag to add more interest to the look. Hope you like this look!

¡Me dejan saber!

Vintage Express

I don't think there is anything more comfortable than the boyfriend fit, these are pants you can really do whatever in. I love that their style is super cool and relaxed, but you can definitely style it up or down, go sophisticated or boho chic... the possibilities are really endless. I went for a spruced up version of a relaxed and easy look, but you switch the pumps for flats and the clutch for a satchel and it would be perfect for a day of shopping. All colorful looks are a bit of a rare species in my everyday look, but there are days when you have to give in and go color crazy and specially when you're trying to enjoy the last drops of Summer! Hope you like this look!

Let me know what you think!

Garden Dressing

Last week I went to my first garden party of the season and even though summer hasn't officially begun it's feeling more and more like it everyday. This day was specially warm and I went for a really cool and relaxed look, but still really sophisticated. The skirt of this dress is like a dream, it's completely pleated and when you walk it immediately moves and glides so effortlessly, making it a romantic and feminine look. I kept the romantic touch throughout the look, but when it came to the purse I wanted to have a bit of a twist, the clutch has a traditional and classy circular form, but with a unexpected snakeskin print. What would you wear for a garden party?

Let me know what you think!

Coachella Daydreaming

There's nothing I'd love more than to be at Coachella in a couple of days, but I wont... so heres to next year! Anyway, I can't help but thinking what I'd wear to the festival and everything I'm seeing isn't helping on distracting me. I went for a laid-back, super comfortable look with a chic bohemian flair that could take me from day to night. These mules may look uncomfortable, but the wide heels make them easy to manage in difficult terrains, I'd probably store some flats in my bag just in case, but at least pull off the look for some time. What would you rock for Coachella? Let me know what you think about the look!

Blues & Whites

My parents bought this blouse in St. Thomas over  30 years ago and luckily for me my mom kept it and I happily took ownership of it! Its a bit big on me, but I absolutely love the batik print it has and the different tones of blue. The contrast of the tight skinny jeans with the loose blouse works wonders for an effortless look. I rolled up the sleeves not only for functional reasons ( so they wouldn't reach my elbows), but it adds to the beachy laid back look. For everyday looks I really prefer effortless styles, you know, you can really be yourself when you feel comfortable with what your wearing. I think it's a note to self to store things we really, really like, even though we don't wear them anymore... who knows you could pass it down to your children. Hope you liked the post! Let me know!

Between the Flowers

One of my prized possessions in my closet is this Zara Maxi dress. I remember it like yesterday, there was this super sale and I bought for $30; it wasn't enough that the prize was incredible but the dress was AMAZING! This dress is perfect for a garden wedding or any event during the day. I kept it really simple so the dress would be what would stand out, I paired it with a vintage bag and blue chandelier earrings. What I really love about this dress is its combination of bohemian and femininity. Let me know what you think about this dress!
