Bright Blue & Fuchsia

I've already shared with you guys my obsession with espadrilles and have to admit that I may have too many pairs (if that's ever possible) of them, but they've been my number one choice of shoe lately. Combining bright blue espadrilles with a fuchsia top might sound hard on the eyes, but the fact that the look is so laid back really makes it work and look quite effortless. My favorite way to wear short shorts is by combining it with a slightly oversized, loose top and for Summer I feel like this leather tote is the perfect combination for an ultra-summery look. What are your must for the Summer?!

Hope you like this look!

Making It Feel Like Spring

I'm still pretty new at this whole thing of seasons changing, I had always heard that Puerto Rico has yearlong summer weather.... totally understand it now. I'm sure I share with everyone my yearning for warmer days since Spring seems to be making us wait for her presence. I guess the best way to fill the streets and our lives with the slowly but surely arrival of Spring is by filling our houses/apts/rooms with beautiful flowers and adding much needed color to our looks.

Yellow is one of biggest colors for Springs and I'm totally obsessed with it right now. It's definitely a feel good color and it makes a great entrance. Pastels are always perfect for Spring, so matching this bright yellow skirt with this lilac top will perfectly balance the look and make it super feminine. I went for this Loeffler Randall bag in a mint color which looks great with both lilac and yellow, the black detailing is the perfect way to integrate the black sandals, and tie everything together. Oversized sunglasses are always my favorite, and I think we can all agree that Tom Ford makes some of the best out there.

So... maybe it still doesn't really feel like Spring, but there are some flowers blooming around, so lets just pretend it really feels like Spring until it arrives!

Hope you like this look!

Fierce Print

I always thought that these type of blouses were reserved for the office only, I had this preconceived idea that they were too boring and stiff to be worn anywhere else, but obviously I learned, that this is not so. This blouse for example, looks anything but boring, it's made of a softer material which helps it look more versatile and it has a super modern and eye catching print. Pairing it with this bright orange skirt brought more life to the look and the platforms gave for a more casual and friendly look. Button-down blouses have become a staple in my closet, knowing how to take advantage of their versatile nature opens up a lot of styling options. There are always really business attire oriented ones, but finding ones with a great print, bright colors or modern fit will be perfect to style up or down. I can definitely see myself styling this blouse with black denim shorts for a super casual look or with sleek pants for a more office friendly version. Hope you like this look!

Vintage Express

I don't think there is anything more comfortable than the boyfriend fit, these are pants you can really do whatever in. I love that their style is super cool and relaxed, but you can definitely style it up or down, go sophisticated or boho chic... the possibilities are really endless. I went for a spruced up version of a relaxed and easy look, but you switch the pumps for flats and the clutch for a satchel and it would be perfect for a day of shopping. All colorful looks are a bit of a rare species in my everyday look, but there are days when you have to give in and go color crazy and specially when you're trying to enjoy the last drops of Summer! Hope you like this look!

Palm Trees & Parrots

There was something about this blouses' quirky print and retro feel that just caught my attention, I was kind of skeptic at first about it maybe being a bit tacky, but I decided I would give it a go. It's definitely a summer type of of top, I'm really not sure if I could see it working at any other time of the year. I decided to embrace the fun bright greens, reds and blues of the blouse by matching it with this bright orange skirt that has much statement making power as the blouse. The final touch on this rather fun look was adding the purple fringed clutch for a tropical and color filled look. Hope you like this look!

Let me know what you think.

Orange Punch

I've had this skirt for the longest time, and I'm just as crazy over its tribal print as I was when I bought it. Today, I decided to go for red and oranges, but I've matched it before with white, black and red, I haven't tried it with blue or green, but those will definitely be my next styling options for this skirt. I tend to always use a solid colored top with this skirt and let the print be the statement, but I've used different style tops, like t-shirts, tanks and blouses, the skirt is super versatile so the different style tops give it a different vibe. Staying cool has been a top priority lately, and skirts are a perfect way to give shorts a break and go for something different. Do you have a piece of clothing, like my skirt you just can't let go of?  Hope you like this look!

Let me know what you think!

Favorite Street Style Looks from Fall Couture

Fashion shows have already begun to be as interesting as they are outside as they are inside. I'm always extremely curious as to what the attendees are wearing, and how they give some of the trendiest styles there own signature twist. Personally, I can draw more inspiration when the up and coming trends are actually worn than when they are shown in collections. One of my favorite looks is Joan Smalls midriff bearing top combined with the skirt, and the fact that its black and white makes it look really edgy and modern. Another trend that really caught my attention were the pops of bright colors, both in a subtle and not so subtle way. I can totally see myself taking some cues from these stylish attendees, can you? Hope you like this post!

Mixing Stripes With Tangerine

I love wearing stripes all year long, but I have to admit they do go perfectly well with summer, specially when they have a nautical touch. This blouse is pretty simple in essence, blue stripes with a white background, but the combination of thin and wide stripes makes it very eye-catching. Bright colors are the order of the day when it comes to summer, and since dresses and skirts seem like the only viable options for these sweltering hot days, this skirt was a go to. I kept my jewelry on the simple side, stacking up some vintage bracelets, since the look is already a statement. The bag was the perfect detail to tie in the white from the blouse with the entire look, plus white and tangerine look great together and I love that it has a parisian chic factor to it . Hope you like this look!

Summer Solstice

First of all, summer officially began today with the longest day of the year, so happy summer solstice! Today I channeled one of summer's upcoming trends, palm tree leaves with this blouse. Their couldn't be a better combination than a V-neck in front, low scoop on the back and the combination of palm leaves and bright yellow, if that doesn't embody a perfect summer day I don't know what does. I love wearing wide leg pants on hot days, they're super comfortable and they give that laid back, simple beauty summer is really all about. Pairing neutrals with bright color is always genius, so don't be afraid to do so, and if you're not into really bold patterns this blouse is a perfect example, it has the pattern, but it's all in the same color pallet, which makes it really subtle and easy to wear. Hope you like this look and enjoy summer's longest day!

Let me know what you think!

Mother's Day Alfresco

Hope you all had a great Mother's Day with all your love ones! Yesterday was a really nice day, I spent it with my family over an al fresco lunch. The day began at 1 PM, so I knew it would be warm and decided to go with this BCBG maxi dress with a really beautiful salmon color, bright colors like this one work perfectly for daytime activities. I kept jewelry to a minimum just sporting a coral reef inspired cuff and my watch, trying to keep in tone with an easy afternoon of great food and company. The tablescape was created by my mom and it definitely made us feel as if we where somewhere in Italy. I snapped a picture of the key lime pie I baked with home made whipped cream, it was the perfect dessert for a daytime lunch. The recipe was given to me by my boyfriend's mom, so we definitely made it all about our moms!

Hope you like the pictures!

Punch of Colors

Today was a super long day that started with a 7 :30 AM morning run and followed by a couple of errands. Days here have been crazy, with extremely hot temperatures and then intense rains; I decided to dress accordingly for the warm temperature. I went for a great summer look that could transition from a nice casual lunch to running some errands, like I did today. The outfit is centered in warm tones, so I decided to add colors and textures through the ballet flats and the bag. A bag like this one is perfect for easy laid back looks, it works wonders for traveling or putting a towel and a great book and heading  to the beach. I'm so excited for bright colors and bold prints for summer!  Hope you like this look!
