Busy, Busy

Merry Christmas! I was supposed to put this post up yesterday, but the day was really crazy, too many Christmas preparations. I knew I had to do many errands yesterday, so I went for a really relax and comfortable look. This tweed-like jacket is super comfortable and looks great, I love its boho flair and that it adds a lot of color to any look. I kept everything else really simple, white top and ripped jeans, I don't get to use this jacket too often, so I wanted it to be the focus of the look! Hope you all have an amazing Christmas filled with family & friends!

¡Felicidades! Quería subir este post ayer pero fue un día muy largo preparando para Noche Buena. Ayer tenía muchas cosas que hacer por lo que decidí usar algo que me durara todo el día. Me encanta usar este jacket, es súper comodo y añade muchísimo color a cualquier look, el material es como tweed por lo que también añade textura. Casi nunca puedo usar este jacket por lo que decidí mantener el resto del look súper simple con un tope blanco y mahones. Espero que la pasen muy bien estas navidades con sus familiares y amigos.

Christmas Inspiration

With Christmas around the corner, I've suddenly entered into a slight panic mode because I still don't know what I'll be wearing. I love going to Pinterest to find style inspiration and new ideas to possibly give something I already have in my closet an amazing twist! He entrado en un poco de pánico ya que las navidades están súper cercas y todavía no se que me voy a poner. Me encanta entrar a Pinterest para buscar ideas e inspiración para que ponerme y como darle un twist a algo que ya tengo en mi closet. There's no question about how timeless a little black dress is, or how much you'll use that black jacket or that amazing clutch, that probably was worth a month's rent. I wanted to share with you guys the all-black pieces that have me oohing and ahing and wishing they'd form part of my closet sooner than soon. If I had to choose from all of them, I'd probably go for the cutout Cushnie et Ochs dress, you guys need to see in on the model, the pictures does it no justice! Sometimes we're really hesitant to make expensive purchases, but sometimes they end up really being worth it. I've always been of the philosophy of investing in timeless pieces, and leaving a smaller budget for trendier ones. Hope you like this post!

No hay duda alguna de lo mucho que vas a usar ese traje negro, o el jacket todo negro, o hasta la cartera que probablemente cuesta lo mismo que un mes de renta. Quería compartir con ustedes todas las piezas negras que me tienen loca y que quiero tener en mi closet. Si tuviese que escoger entre todos, probablemente escogería el traje negro Cushnie et Ochs, lo tienen que ver en la modelo, la foto no le hace justicia. A veces puede que dudemos si de verdad debemos gastar tanto en algo, pero a veces puede que valga la pena. Siempre he pensado que si vas a invertir en algo debe ser algo clásico, lo que está de moda pasara de moda. Espero que les guste este post.

Midi skirts have made a huge splash in the fashion scene and for good reasons, they're the epitome of ladylike elegance. One of the wonders of these skirts is that they make your waist look super small and a great way to take advantage of this trait is by wearing it with a tight top. I've been loving the idea of wearing midi skirts for all the holiday parties, I actually wore this one for a beachside wedding not long ago. Adding a sash to any skirt or dress is always a plus, so it's nice to have one in hand. Hope you like this post & have a great weekend!

Las faldas a mitad de pierna han hecho una tremenda entrada y por muy buenas razones, son elegantes y extremadamente femeninas. Una de las mejores cualidades de estas faldas es que hacen que tu cintura se vea más pequeña, y la mejor manera para aprovechar esto es usando una blusa pegada. Ultimamente he estado encantada con la idea de usar estas faldas para las navidades, esta misma la usé hace no tanto para una boda. Tener un sash en mano siempre es muy buena idea, hacen que cualquier falda o traje se vean mil veces mejor. Espero que les guste este look y tengan un fin de semana buenísimo.

From Head to Toe

There's something about wearing all black, that I find is fierce and sexy, but in a subtle and simple way. I had been looking for a blouse like this for a long time; it's definitely a must to have. You can wear alone, as I did in this look or you can layer a jacket over it, and it's really versatile, you can wear it casual or in a dressier style. I've always thought that a great red lip is the best accessory for an all black look, it's that punch of color that ties it all together. Hope you like this look.

Siempre he pensando que un look todo negro da un toque de seguridad y sexy, pero de una manera sutil. Llevaba buscando una blusa como esta por muchísimo tiempo, y pienso que es muy crucial en cualquier closet. La blusa es súper simple y versátil, la puedes llevar sola como hice para este look o con un jacket, de manera muy casual o para un look más vestido. Uno labios rojos siempre han sido el mejor accesorio para un look todo negro. Espero que les guste este look.

Traveling- Enchanted Rock

As I mentioned a couple of posts ago, during Thanksgiving I went to Austin, Texas to visit family. During that visit I went to one of the most amazing places I have ever been in, and decided to give my usual posts a twist and share it with you guys.

The place was Enchanted Rock, is roughly an hour and a half from Austin, but it's well worth the ride, plus I love cows and I saw some of the most beautiful cows I've ever seen on the way there. Enchanted Rock is a huge pink granite exfoliation dome, and one of the largest batholiths in the United States (info from Texas Parks & Wildlife), it's simply breathtaking. All the scenery surrounding the dome and the dome itself is something I'm sure not many of us see everyday, so it's really refreshing to be surrounded by nature in this way.

I initially didn't pack any type of hiking clothes because it wasn't originally in the plans, but luckily you don't need much for this type of hike. I chose dark colored jeans and a simple long sleeved gray shirt, I added color to the look through the scarf and the jacket, I know it's definitely not the usual hiking ensemble, but it worked! All the pictures were taken by my talented boyfriend. Hope you like this post!

Como mencioné hace unos días atrás, para Acción de Gracias fui a Austin, Texas a visitar familia. Estando allí fui a uno de los lugares más impresionante que haya visto hasta el momento. Decidí darle un cambio a mis posts y compartir con ustedes esta experiencia, las fotos fueron tomadas por mi novio.

El lugar se llama Enchanted Rock, está como a una hora y media de Austin, pero deverdad vale la pena dar el viaje. Este lugar es un domo gigante de granito rosado y es uno de los batolitos más grandes en Estados Unidos (info de Texas Parks & Wildlife). Todo lo que está alrededor, la naturaleza y las vistas son algo del otro mundo.

Inicialmente no llevaba nada conmigo como para ir en una aventura como esta, pero por suerte no se necesitaba nada específico. Lleve unos mahones oscuros con una blusa gris de manga larga, le di un toque de color al look a través de la bufanda y el jacket. No era el look tradicional para ir en aventuras de este tipo, pero funcionó. Espero que les guste este post!
