Making It Work

Learning to reinvent our closet is a must, for all of us! I've had this dress for a little over two years and it got slightly shrunken in the dryer, so it stopped being a more serious occasion kind of dress. Instead of giving up on it I thought that there had to be another fate for it, I still love it! I use it now as a dressier casual option, it's great for going to brunch or running some errands when you to want to look really chic and not like your running all over the place! The belt was key in dressing it down, knotting the belt like this is a clever way to make it more interesting. I kept everything in natural tones, but went for this vintage bag to add more interest to the look. Hope you like this look!

Let me know!

¡Me dejan saber!

Leopard Loafers

The first time I saw these loafers I immediately fell for them, but they weren't exactly these ones... they were in zebra print! At that time I wasn't sure if I was feeling the loafers movement, so, I decided to give it a thought, which only took like 20 mins to decide, but I lucked out! Someone had taken the last pair in my size, I'm sure this has happen to you also, right? Fortunately, I scored these a couple of weeks later which are a great substitute to those. I love using these loafers when I go more subtle or casual with my look, like today, they're like that statement touch that completes the look. I've always been amazed at all the styling possibilities loafers have, they look great shorts/pants or skirts and even with short dresses, they lend themselves for preppy styles or more rocker chic ones and you can use them in fall or summer! How do you style your loafers? Hope you like this look!

Let me know what you think!

Color Combination

Striped sweaters are any closet's must have, they look timeless and depending how you style them they can look preppy, nautical or casual day chic. Usually when I choose a loose top, I go with tight or form fitting bottom and vice versa; for this look I decided on this form fitting striped sweater and loose orange bottom's. I love how the color combination came out, really refreshing and the look is perfect for going to lunch or for a day at work. The turquoise string necklace was a nice change to my gold tone jewelry, obsession I've been having lately.  I think that with the busy life we all lead, having versatile options in our closet are super important. Let me know what you think about the look!

Stripes & Colors

I love this blue & white striped skirt and how girly it looks. I sometimes wear it with a simple t-shirt for a more laid back look or with button down shirts, like this one for a more preppy look. When I combine it with button down shirts I like to play with the colors. For this outfit I chose this yellow Ralph Lauren Slim Fit with pink & green stripes for a more playful look. You could definitely pair it with a solid bright pink shirt and achieve the same effect but I really like playing with the idea of stripes on stripes but in different colors. This look is very preppy but everyone has some preppy in them! Hope you enjoy the look and let me know what you think!
