Laid Back Weekend Style

One of my summer's biggest staple have been denim shirts, they're really easy to wear and to mix and match with anything because they work as a neutral. Choosing black skinny's with a denim top is definitely the best way to give it a dressier touch without loosing it's laid back essence, but if you're not a fan of denim on denim and you're going for a more casual/laid back look, combining it with neutral colored pants like these green ones is a perfect option for an effortless style. On weekend mornings I prefer dressing really laid-back instead of a more modern or dressier way, so even though I went for heeled sandals I kept them on the lighter and more subtle side to keep in line with a more easy going look. Hope your Labor Day is off to a great start & that you like this look!

Camo Green

Hope your weekend is of to a great start, mine definitely started in an energetic mode! My favorite way to pair skinny bottoms is with a loose top, and visa-versa, I like the opposite function of tight and loose, I've also used the same fit all around, but I tend to prefer the opposites. I've always liked jeans, but I have to admit that they do come in second place to shorts, I'm a serious shorts aficionado. These pants were a great score for my closet, they function as jeans because they're super versatile, but in a cooler way and it's the perfect way to give them a rest. I'm a huge bagaholic, so when I got this one as a gift, I instantly fell inlove with its quirky shape and color, and thought that the neon trimmings were the coolest details... remember it's always in the details! Hope you like this looks!

The Full Skirt

Full skirts can sometimes be tricky to pull of; they can easily be one step away from channeling an episode from Little House on the Prairie. The trick in making this skirt look super chic is by pairing it with high heels or wedges, because they usually end a couple on inches below your knee or they may even be longer, making you seem shorter. If you're really tall you probably won't have trouble with the stated earlier, but if you're short this rule is a must. Pairing this skirt with an airy tank or cami gives for a really nice easy going look, perfect for summer. I kept my look with neutral tones, but a bright color would've been a great compliment to the look! Hope you like this look!

Summer Solstice

First of all, summer officially began today with the longest day of the year, so happy summer solstice! Today I channeled one of summer's upcoming trends, palm tree leaves with this blouse. Their couldn't be a better combination than a V-neck in front, low scoop on the back and the combination of palm leaves and bright yellow, if that doesn't embody a perfect summer day I don't know what does. I love wearing wide leg pants on hot days, they're super comfortable and they give that laid back, simple beauty summer is really all about. Pairing neutrals with bright color is always genius, so don't be afraid to do so, and if you're not into really bold patterns this blouse is a perfect example, it has the pattern, but it's all in the same color pallet, which makes it really subtle and easy to wear. Hope you like this look and enjoy summer's longest day!

Graphic Print

Who said you can't look put together in shorts? I've never been one to think that shorts only work for a day at the beach, I think they work anytime you want them to. Usually, I try to find shorts that have a great print, don't get me wrong i love all shorts, but printed ones are my favorite. With this look I wanted to play with the graphic snake skin print and went for a safarish inspired look, using neutral tones and the big studded leather bag. Layering always adds interest and texture to a look, so I added this jacket which contrast well with the soft flowiness of the blouse. Dressing up shorts is really simple, just switch the t-shirt for a flowy blouse and add some sandals or platforms and you've got a super chic laid back look. Hope you like the look! Let me know!

Warm Days

Even though I'm super excited about bold and bright colors for spring, neutral tones work wonders for a laid back look. On super hot days, like today, I love pulling off looks that are light and fashionable and ever since shorts became appropriate for everything its been wonderful. I love these shorts because they look casual, but because of the high waistline they're taken up a notch and the blouse's flowy style adds an organic touch to the look making it perfect for lunch next to the water or buying flowers for the garden. On hot days it's extremely important to feel comfortable and have clothes that breath, because if not your day is going to start off on the wrong foot! Hope you enjoy the post!

Closet Wishlist- Sandals

When you want to show off your toes when it begins to get warmer, the perfect shoe for this job are sandals. You can go as basic as the traditional strappy sandals or choose a more modern take to them like laser cut sandals below. I included these Alexander Wang cutout pumps because not everyone wants to show off their toes, so these pumps are a perfect option. The cutouts in them automatically give them a fresher lighter feel as does the light blue color. I love neutral tone colored shoes because they elongate the legs, but If I want to add color I like to make a statement, I've particularly been loving blue-greenish tones. I chose some affordable options in both trends! Hope you enjoy the post! What shoes can't you wait to use when it finally gets warmer?
