Starting Fresh

I wanted to share with you one of my looks during the holidays, which in PR are not quite over yet. I actually wore this on the first of January for a family get together. I love a great pleated skirt, you can dress it up or down and it always looks perfect. I usually prefer darker colors, but I fell in love with this light blue because it brings instant freshness to any look. Since we were celebrating the start of a new year I wanted to keep it really fresh and simple, so I decided on an off-white top with few details. Hope you like this post & have an amazing weekend!

Let me know what you think.

Flor

Palm Trees & Parrots

There was something about this blouses' quirky print and retro feel that just caught my attention, I was kind of skeptic at first about it maybe being a bit tacky, but I decided I would give it a go. It's definitely a summer type of of top, I'm really not sure if I could see it working at any other time of the year. I decided to embrace the fun bright greens, reds and blues of the blouse by matching it with this bright orange skirt that has much statement making power as the blouse. The final touch on this rather fun look was adding the purple fringed clutch for a tropical and color filled look. Hope you like this look!

Let me know what you think.

Celebrating Summer

In name of celebrating summer's first official weekend I did what any person living near a beach would do, use it as an excuse for yet another weekend of soaking up the sun. Location: Rincón, Puerto Rico and the look: laid back tropical vibe. If there's one thing that I prefer for the beach after a sarong, it's an oversized button down blouse; you can just through it over your swimsuit for a really effortless look or match it with shorts or a sarong for a more complete look, perfect for catching a quick lunch or drinks before heading back to the beach. This blouse is about my age, and it's one of those things I've taken ownership from my parents closets, I mean common, with this insane print I just had to add it to my own. I wanted it to be all about the blouse, so a solid colored sarong was the ideal match and adding the iconic panama hat was a must in completing this tropical look. Summer is without a doubt the time to take out those "What was I thinking" prints, it's supposed to be fun and relaxed, so forget about not being too confident to wear those prints and just enjoy them! Hope you like this look!

Tropical Feel

Today, as I was stepping out for a lunch date with friends I snapped a couple of pictures of what I was wearing. I bought this skirt on my last trip to Zara, I loved it's tropical feel and knew it would be the perfect piece to pack for weekend getaways during summer. This skirt works perfectly with heeled sandals, like I wore it for a lunch date or pair it with ballet flats for a more comfortable look, ideal for sightseeing or shopping. I know temperatures have been crazy all over, but summer is supposed to be hot, so finding pieces like this skirt would make dressing for warm days extremely easy and fashionable. Hope you like it!

Let me know!
