Power of Print

A simple look can be turned upside down and become a show stopping one, by just choosing to add a punch, in this case... animal print. When you have such a busy piece it's ideal to go simple on the other areas, unless you find another print that compliments it. Since my pants are entirely leopard print, I decided to pair it with a white blouse to balance the look out, and kept the shoes and bag simple by going for black, which naturally, is a huge part of this print. How do you style your animal print pieces? Hope you like this look.

Let me know what you think!

Splurge or Save?

I know I'm not alone when I say, I'm loving Proenza Schouler's PS11 bag. It's definitely one of the most covetable items out there right now, seen on many of fashion influentials. This bag carries a hefty price tag, so I wanted to look for a bag that would give the same effect, but without a huge price tag. I saw this Vince Camuto bag while working on an article and loved it right away. I love the mix between the textured leather and animal print, giving it a really edgy modern and classic touch at the same time. Both bags carry a timeless style and will definitely add an edge to any look, so which bag would you go for?

Let me know what you think!

Me dejan saber.

I have to admit that this one, might just be a whole other case in itself! What do you think?

Black on Black

There's nothing more slimming than dressing entirely in black; it's your perfect allied after that long weekend where you had one to many french toasts at that exquisite brunch. Don't get me wrong, it isn't like a walk of shame or anything, going for black on black can make for a look that is extremely mysterious and sexy. I love an all one color look that has a twist to it, for this all black ensemble, I decided to add a pop of print with the animal print belt and the bag. Another way to sneak in some color or print is through the shoes, with a really strong lipstick or with a jacket. The idea is that simple is never just plain simple, we always find a way to add our own stamp to it, so, that all black or beige look isn't boring, it's the perfect canvas to express your style through clever touches! Hope you like this look!

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target

Phillip Lim is one of my favorite designers, and I'm specially obsessed with all his handbags. His design aesthetic is modern and very fashion forward, but at the same time extremely wearable. Phillip Lim's collection for Target isn't new news, but since the release date is so close I decided to share my excitement and favorite pieces of the collection. First of all, If you haven't already marked it on your calendar do so now! Sept 15th! I love that this collection is carrying a leather jacket and a trench coat, usually really pricey items and desirable for the upcoming fall for a smaller ticket. Personally, I'm coveting the leather jacket! Besides having great shirt dresses (I'm crazy over the floral print one and at only $40, more than ideal!), there are also timeless tops in beautiful colors and prints.

If you prefer statement making looks, these comic book inspired "Boom" and animal print pieces are a sure way to add a fun twist to your look. I'm particularly loving both sweatshirts, I can see myself wearing them with a feminine like miniskirt. Here's the link for the Behind the scenes of Phillip Lim for Target campaign video. Hope you like my selects!

Objects of Desire

Ankle booties have been something of an object of desire lately for me. When thinking of pieces that can transition well from Summer to Fall, I can't think of anything better. When it comes to booties I've been obsessing over cut-outs, it gives them a modern flair. A basic black bootie is a must in any closet, it's super versatile, you can pair them with jeans for a casual look or with a structured skirt for a more dressed up version, and the best part is they'll be timeless. When it comes to those go to shoes I found these great Miu Miu booties that I can see myself wearing for everything and anything, and they'll make any basic look be like 5 times more amazing! For a dressier option, I fell in love with these super sleek and sophisticated Gianvito Rossi, they're great for a meeting or a special dinner. Are you already looking for your pieces to transition between seasons?! Hope you like my choices!

Let me know!
