Bright & Electric
There's no doubt about it, living in an island lets me wear shorts almost every day of the year and I always try to achieve a casual chic look, never dull. I fell in love with these shorts because of their print and color. I paired them with a white-T and decided to layer on this hot pink cover up to add more color and style. I recently purchased this neon yellow ballerina slippers, I'd been looking for a long time for bright color ballerinas. Having shoes like this can add a punch of attitude to any look, these ballerinas could also look great with a monochrome look. This look really takes inspiration from Spring's electric color trend but it also perfect for light lunch or running some errands. Let me know what you think about this look!

Classics & Leopard
Oh animal print, some people love it and other hate it; at this point in time I'm one of those who love it. I wanted to share this look because it's a great example of pairing classics with more trendy options. Classic pieces like this double breasted jacket are a must have in any closet because you will always be able to used them. I jumped at the idea of pairing this rather classy jacket with the leopard skinny's and blouse to give it more trendiness and pull off a parisian chic look. Fashion should be fun so mix & match however you wish! Let me know what you think!

Orange Touch
Today I'm sharing with you my twist on the power suit. I'm pro female empowerment and I must admit that looking the part helps you feel the part, but dressing the part doesn't mean that it has to be boring. I love oranges and reds so I decided to pair my orange pants with a red leather belt and you probably know by now that I love black & white so it made perfect sense to pair them all together. What I really like of this leather belt is the serpent buckle; it gives it a completely chic touch. To tie in the black of the blouse I went for black pumps and a black leather envelope. I loved this look because its a modern look full of color perfect for the office. Let me know what you think about this look! Enjoy!

Black & White Cupcakes
With Valentine's Day a mere 17 days away I've been inspired to share some recipe ideas for you to enjoy with loved ones. Of course Valentine's is synonymous with chocolate but that does not mean that all other desserts are scratched out! This Vanilla Cupcake recipe makes the most moist and delicious cupcakes ever. I made a Chocolate Ganache layer for this cupcakes and then made Butter Frosting to top it of. I usually find Butter frosting too sweet but this Chocolate Ganache is so full of flavor that it balances out the sweetness. Hope you enjoy this post! Let me know!
Yellow Cupcakes
1 1/3 Cups sifted flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
2/3 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together into a large mixing bowl.
Add shortening and milk, stir to blend, then beat slowly about 1 1/2 minutes with an electric mixer.
Add egg and vanilla and beat slowly 1 1/2 minutes.
Spoon batter into muffin tins lined with cupcake papers, filling half full. Bake 20-25 minutes until cakes are golden brown and springy to the touch.
Remove cakes from pans and cool upright on wire racks. Frost as desired.
Butter Frosting
1/3 cup butter
4 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Additional milk
1. In a large mixing bowl beat butter until fluffy. Gradually add 2 cups of the powdered sugar, beating well. Slowly beat in 1/4 cup milk and vanilla.
2. Gradually add remaining powdered sugar, beating until combined. If necessary, beat in a little additional milk to make frosting that is easy to spread. Tint with food coloring as desired. Transfer unused frosting to a storage container and chill for up to 1 week.

From Day to Night
Today I'm showing you how easy it can be to change a look from day to night while maintaining one main piece the same. For this post I chose to keep the black leggings the same and decided to change accessories, shoes and blouse. For the casual look I chose to pair the black leggings with an oversized tan sweater, leopard print loafers and big leather bag. This look is perfect for shopping, running errands or going for lunch. What really adds a chic touch to this look are the leopard print loafers.
I changed the look by choosing a polka dot black blouse, grey booties and changing to a small bag. Since the look was pretty dark I added a splash of color with the turquoise horn necklace and left the other jewelry the same. It's really easing changing a look from day to night if you keep one piece the same. Let me know what you think about the look and if you have other ideas!

Between the Flowers
One of my prized possessions in my closet is this Zara Maxi dress. I remember it like yesterday, there was this super sale and I bought for $30; it wasn't enough that the prize was incredible but the dress was AMAZING! This dress is perfect for a garden wedding or any event during the day. I kept it really simple so the dress would be what would stand out, I paired it with a vintage bag and blue chandelier earrings. What I really love about this dress is its combination of bohemian and femininity. Let me know what you think about this dress!

Stripes & Colors
I love this blue & white striped skirt and how girly it looks. I sometimes wear it with a simple t-shirt for a more laid back look or with button down shirts, like this one for a more preppy look. When I combine it with button down shirts I like to play with the colors. For this outfit I chose this yellow Ralph Lauren Slim Fit with pink & green stripes for a more playful look. You could definitely pair it with a solid bright pink shirt and achieve the same effect but I really like playing with the idea of stripes on stripes but in different colors. This look is very preppy but everyone has some preppy in them! Hope you enjoy the look and let me know what you think!
