I have to admit that I'm quite the sale enthusiast, there's nothing better than finding that bag you've been eyeing for some time with a great discount! I don't necessarily wait for those incredible sales to begin looking at them, sometimes I'll look every week and other times every couple of months. Last night I was looking at some sales, because honestly it had been some time since the last time I did and found these incredible pieces.

I always try to invest in timeless pieces, even if it's on sale, I don't tend to go for super trendy high ticket items. Black sandals will always be in, and they are really versatile, so these B Brian Atwood ones are to invest in. A simple, no fuss, but super stylish black leather bag is one you'll surely keep for many years to come, I particularly love the gold hardware on this one.

I love boots in tans and browns, and these ones hit the mark, I particularly love the way they look from behind and the wrapping effect. Hope you enjoy these finds!

 Tengo que admitir que me encantan los especiales, como cuando consigues esa cartera que llevas velando por meses con un tremendo descuento...nada mejor. No necesito esperar a las súper ventas para mirarlas, la verdad es que aveces las veo todas las semanas, mientras otras veces cada varios meses. Anoche me percate que hacia tiempo no visitaba los especiales, decidí mirarlos y encontré maravillas. 

Siempre prefiero invertir en piezas que nunca pasaran de moda como estas sandalias. Una cartera simple, de cuero negro la podrás usar por muchísimos años, esta de Marc Jacobs tiene el detalle dorado que le añade interés a ella. 

Cuando viene a botas me encantan cuando son en tonos marrón, y estas con dos tonos diferentes me han encantado. Espero que le guste mis escogidos.

Simple & Bohemian

I've seen my collection of simple white tops grow little by little, and the thing is, I think you can never have enough of this staple item. They look great with just jeans and a jacket, but they also make the perfect backdrop for other, more extravagant pieces. These shorts have an amazing print, with beads detailing the edge of the pattern; I've worn them with dressier tops for more "fancier" occasions, but decided on this top to make it relax weekend appropriate. 

Since the shorts have a bohemian flair, I added these wooden bead necklaces that have the coolest tassels. I went for a simple understated leather bag, to keep within the style, but loved that the booties gave it an unexpected twist. Hope you like this look!

He visto como mi colección de blusas blancas ha crecido con el tiempo, pero pienso que nunca serán suficientes. Estas blusas, súper simples, se ven tan bien con mahones y un jacket, como con piezas que visten más. Estos pantalones cortos tienen un estampado espectacular y canutillos que van por el borde del mismo. Los he llevado con blusas finas para ocasiones donde tengo que vestir más, pero los quise usar para el fin de semana, por lo que escogí algo más simple con que llevarlo.

Como estos pantalones tienen un toque bohemio, quise ir por detalles simples para el resto, escogiendo estos collares de madera con "tassels" y un bolso de cuero color crema. Para darle un toque inesperado al look me fuí con estos booties grises como detalle final.

Decor Inspiration

I'm a huge enthusiast of interior decoration, my comfort zone in design is definitely black and white, but I love what pops of colors can do to a room. Since wallpapers got their comeback I've been obsessing over them, they can add so much character to a simple room, I particularly love it when it's used to create an accent wall. I once was at a restaurant that had it's entire, extremely small bathroom covered in the coolest wallpaper, and you'd probably think it would feel claustrophobic, but it didn't, it was the most stylish small space I'd ever been in.

I love how dramatic a black wall can be, it adds instant glamour and sophistication, even to a bathroom!  One of my favorite ways to decorate any room, without spending a lot is by filling the wall with paintings, photos or mirrors. Eye catching rugs and pillows are also a great way to add instant character to any room. Hope you like this post & have a wonderful day!

La decoración de interiores es otra de las cosas que me apasiona, usualmente mi zona de confort es el blanco y el negro, pero me encanta lo que un poco de color le puede hacer a un cuarto. Desde que el "wallpaper" volvió estoy totalmente obsesionada con el, especialmente cuando lo usan para crear una pared llamativa. Una vez estuve en el baño diminuto de un restaurante, y estaba forrado completamente en el "wallpaper", pensarían ustedes que daría claustrofobia, pero no, definitivamente el lugar más estiloso en el que he estado. 

Una pared negra añade glamour y sofisticación a cualquier cuarto... hasta a un baño. Una de mis maneras favoritas para decorar sin gastar mucho, es llenando una pared de cuadros, retratos o espejos. Una alfombra llamativa o unos cojines coloridos le pueden dar mucho carácter a cualquier espacio en tu hogar. ¡Espero que les guste este post & tengan un magnífico día!

White on White on Black

I found this amazing Helmut Lang jacket at their sample sale last week in New York, and I loved it right then and there. It has so many styling options, from a really sophisticated all-black look, to a more casual one with ripped jeans or throw it over LBD as the perfect finishing touch.  

Since the print is the focus of this jacket I decided to let it stand out, normally I would've gone for black skinny jeans, but I decided to go for an all white look to keep it super fresh.  Hope you like this look!

Encontré este jacket Helmut Lang en su sample sale en Nueva York y quedé loca con el allí mismo. Es súper versátil, lo puedes usar en un look sofisticado, uno casual con mahones, o usarlo sobre un traje conrto negro como el detalle perfecto. 

Lo especial de este jacket es su estampado, decidí verstir alrededor de el para dejarlo brillar, usualmente me hubiese ido por unos mahones skinny negro, pero escogí un look todo blanco para mantenerlo fresco. ¡Espero que les guste este look!

Leopard Print Ballet Flats

I have to admit, a great pair of leopard print shoes are a must in my closet, they add an incredible amount of style to any look. I'm so obsessed with them that I'm still pretty bummed out that I missed on a great pair of Calvin Klein leopard print sandals that where in Marshalls a couple of weeks ago. I own a pair of leopard print loafers, that I probably use too much and you've seen already in some of my posts (here & here), but I have to say that I find ballerina flats to be more versatile than loafers. I know you can't exactly compare them because loafers have a masculine touch while ballerina flats are very feminine, but I've found that ballet flats have more styling options. I saw these incredible flats at Banana Republic and I automatically fell in love with them, they have endless styling opportunities, from a nice sunday dress to any kind of skinny jeans with a leather jacket. The price on these is great, but I found two more great options at even more affordable prices. Hope you like this post!

Banana Republic Ballerina Flats

Tengo que admitir que un par de zapatos de print de leopardo son muy importantes en mi closet, le añaden muchísimo estilo a cualquier look. Este tipo de zapato me gusta tanto, que todavía estoy muy decepcionada que unas semanas atrás me perdí unas sandalias de este estampado Calvin Klein en Marshalls. Tengo unos mocasines de print de leopardo, que quizás uso demasiado y probablemente los han visto antes en el blog (aquí & aquí), pero tengo que admitir que encuentro que los "ballet flats" son más versátiles a la hora de usar. Encontré estos flats en Banana Republic y quedé loca, automáticamente pensé en todas las formas de llevarlas, desde un traje hasta pantalones skinny con un jacket de cuero. El precio es muy accesible, pero encontré dos opciones más con un precio mejor. ¡Espero que les guste este post!

The Perfect Match

I love the contrast between this light, flowy skirt and this super cozy sweater. It's amazing that both pieces are so different, the skirt is super busy with color and print while the top is really simple and understated, but they are perfect for each other. The checkered effect, which is repeated in both of them is what really ties both pieces together. Hope you like this look!

Me encanta el contraste entre la falda con movimiento con este sweater. Ambas piezas son muy distintas, la falda, con un estampado bien llamativo y colorido, mientras el sweater es muy simple. El efecto de cuadros en ambas piezas ata ambas, haciendo de unas muy diferentes un look ideal. Espero que les guste este look.

Power of Print

A simple look can be turned upside down and become a show stopping one, by just choosing to add a punch, in this case... animal print. When you have such a busy piece it's ideal to go simple on the other areas, unless you find another print that compliments it. Since my pants are entirely leopard print, I decided to pair it with a white blouse to balance the look out, and kept the shoes and bag simple by going for black, which naturally, is a huge part of this print. How do you style your animal print pieces? Hope you like this look.

Puedes girar un look totalmente simple a uno super diferente, escogiendo darle un toque especial al mismo, en este caso eso es el "animal print". Es ideal que cuando tienes una pieza tan llamativa escojas complementarla con otras más simple, con la excepción de un estampado que lo complemente. Como mis pantalones son de print de leopardo por completo decidí usar una blusa blanca para balancear el look, me fui por unos zapatos y cartera simple, escogiendo el negro ya que es un elemento fundamental de este estampado. ¿Cómo llevan ustedes los estampados? Weekend Style

After a long and eventful weekend, Im back! I've already confessed how much I love white t-shirts, and this one, is probably one of my favorites. The slanted slightly oversized, side pocket adds so much style to a plain white t-shirt, and the fact that I found it on sale, in Marshalls, makes it even better, naturally I bought two. Casual wear is what you make of it, I added a statement necklace, layered two more simple ones, and went for leopard print loafers, to really style this look. This military inspired jacket always comes in handy when it suddenly rains and it gets cooler. Hope you like this look!

Por fin estoy devuelta, después de un fin de semana largo y lleno de eventos. Ya les he contado lo mucho que me gustan las "t-shirts" blancas, y esta, probablemente es de mis favoritas. El bolsillo inclinado le añade muchísimo estilo a esta "t-shirt" normal, y el hecho de que la conseguí en Marshalls y en especial, la hace hasta mejor, claro que compré dos de ellas. Uno puede hacer maravillas con un look casual, escogí un collar llamativo y le añadí otros dos más simples, quise usar estos mocasines de print de leopardo para añadir más interés  Este jacket de estilo militar es perfecto para cuando llueve de momento y refresca un poco. Espero que les guste este look.

Simply Modern

If I had to choose one of my favorite go to looks, it would be skinny jeans and a button down loose blouse. I've been deeply obsessed with buttoned down blouses for some time now, I just love how they can polish any look up. I don't particularly love, love skinny jeans, but I do love the combination of the loose top with the skinny jeans. The skinny jeans and buttoned down blouse combination itself is super versatile, you can have one that's super casual, perfect for taking your dog to the park or one that's really sophisticated for an important dinner or meeting. For today's look I wore a layered necklace and went for sleek pumps and a clutch, to keep the look simple and modern. Hope you like this look.

Si tuviera que escoger un look preferido, tendría que ser la combinación de pantalones skinny y una blusa de botones. Este tipo de blusa me ha encantado por mucho tiempo, el toque sofisticado que le pueden dar a cualquier estilo es perfecto. Los pantalones skinny no es que sean mi pantalón preferido, pero la combinación es perfecta y muy versátil. Puedes tener un look así, perfecto para salir y dar un paseo con tu mascota o uno muy sofisticado, perfecto para una reunión y comida importante. Para este look escogí un collar largo, unos pumps y una cartera de mano, para mantenerlo simple y moderno. Espero que les guste este look.

Thanksgiving Dessert Brainstorming

Pear Cranberry Slab Pie 

Thanksgiving has always been for me, a time that you spend with family, having that last piece of dessert that you probably shouldn't have had, some passing out while watching football and others laughing at the table about old stories. My role in preparing the Thanksgiving feast is always the dessert, I usually go for lemon themed ones, they're great for a daytime desserts...not too heavy, but I thought about switching it up this time. My first thought was pecan pie, and I found an amazing recipe with salted caramel, but I know I'll end up eating most of it, so, I'll probably just daydream about it. I'll probably go with the Bruleed Pumpkin Pie, it sounds super decadent, and I've never done this before, but a Chocolate Pie is rather tempting. I'm obviously not 100% decided, but I'm getting there... and I'll probably test-bake the recipe I choose, I wouldn't want a dessert disaster the night before. Do you already have a recipe?

Bruleed Pumpkin Pie 

El día de acción de gracias, es uno que siempre paso en familia, comiéndonos ese último pedazo de pastel que probablemente no debíamos, otros quedándose dormidos mientras veían "football" y otros riéndose en la mesa contando historias. Siempre me toca el postre cuando viene al menú de acción de gracias y casi siempre escojo uno de limón. Pienso que son perfectos para el día ya que caen "light", pero estoy pensando cambiar la rutina para este año. Lo primero que se me ocurrió fue un "pecan pie" pero la verdad es, probablemente me lo comeré casi completo, así que mejor no. Encontré esta receta de "Bruleed Pumpkin Pie" que parece ser divina y algo que nunca he intentado, pero la idea de uno de chocolate me sigue tentando también. No estoy 100% segura de qué receta escogeré, pero estoy llegando a ella, probablemente intentaré la receta antes para evitar cualquier problema. ¿Saben ustedes que receta usarán?
