An Unexpected Place With Edge

Black skinny jeans paired with a graphic t-shirts makes wonders. It's actually such a laid back no fuss look, but because of the graphics of the t-shirt it automatically looks edgy and full of style. I could definitely add a cool jacket and a pair of pumps to add a sophisticated touch to the look. This location was ridiculously random, I was going for a late lunch with my boyfriend when we passed by a place that we've passed a million times before and he pointed out that it would make a great space to take pictures, have to give it to him... he was totally correct! Hope you like this look & have an amazing weekend!

Let me know what you think.

Decor Inspiration

I'm a huge enthusiast of interior decoration, my comfort zone in design is definitely black and white, but I love what pops of colors can do to a room. Since wallpapers got their comeback I've been obsessing over them, they can add so much character to a simple room, I particularly love it when it's used to create an accent wall. I once was at a restaurant that had it's entire, extremely small bathroom covered in the coolest wallpaper, and you'd probably think it would feel claustrophobic, but it didn't, it was the most stylish small space I'd ever been in.

I love how dramatic a black wall can be, it adds instant glamour and sophistication, even to a bathroom!  One of my favorite ways to decorate any room, without spending a lot is by filling the wall with paintings, photos or mirrors. Eye catching rugs and pillows are also a great way to add instant character to any room. Hope you like this post & have a wonderful day!

Always Black & White

Black and white is always a great combination to give any look a sense of pulled together, and it's also one of my favorite color combinations. I love when I can pull off a look that's casual and laid back, but that at the same time it's classic. This same look you could switch for flats and your go to bag and it would be perfect to run any errands, but going for it like I did, with pumps and a clutch makes it super appropriate for dinner; casual but dressed up also. Hope you like this post!

Modern Sophisticated

Tanks like this one are simple in concept, but say so much. This top I've had for a very long time and I have worn it in many different styles, from sophisticated looks to more grungy ones. The top structure of this blouse is what makes it timeless and sophisticatedly sexy, only exposing the shoulders and drawing attention to the neck, which I find to be a strong way of being sexy. As I mentioned above this blouse is really versatile, for today I chose black trousers with really high pumps, and left accessories to a minimum for a young and edgy sophisticated look. You could pair this top with black denim shorts and a great pair of strappy sandals for a laid back warm night look or go for some structured white shorts for a more modern version of this look. There are pieces of clothing that stand the test of time looking as perfectly beautiful and timeless as the day they were first bought, do you have any pieces like this?! Since this blouse is pretty old, here are some other tops that are similar and I really like, Tibi, Tibi Transit and J. Crew. Hope you like this look!

Back to Basics- B&W

There are days when going back to basics is the best choice, I know we all have different basics and these are some of mine. I love black & white to the point that I have to remind myself that I can't live in black & white, and lately I've been succeeding, but today was just one of those day. I'm a huge black skinny jeans enthusiast, they still have the casual touch that jeans give any look, but by being black they automatically have an edgier style and aren't so much of the norm. I kept my look super laid back with this simple white top, but added my open toe booties, leather necklace and clutch to keep in with an edgier touch. What are your basics? Hope you like this look!

Favorite Street Style Looks from Fall Couture

Fashion shows have already begun to be as interesting as they are outside as they are inside. I'm always extremely curious as to what the attendees are wearing, and how they give some of the trendiest styles there own signature twist. Personally, I can draw more inspiration when the up and coming trends are actually worn than when they are shown in collections. One of my favorite looks is Joan Smalls midriff bearing top combined with the skirt, and the fact that its black and white makes it look really edgy and modern. Another trend that really caught my attention were the pops of bright colors, both in a subtle and not so subtle way. I can totally see myself taking some cues from these stylish attendees, can you? Hope you like this post!

Summer Fun

When the days begin to get warm we start to shed our layers, literally... our hemlines get shorter and shorter and our sleeves become almost unrecognizable. We start popping bright colors, even some neons to our wardrobe and some of us bring even the craziest prints, in the end we're all dressing for summer in our own way. Stripes are an iconic summer staple, and skirts are a great option to stay cool and trés chic, so having these two in one is a must for summer. I thought of pairing it with a black & white blouse to pull off a sophisticated summer look, but it was so warm outside that I really wouldn't be able to pull off that blouse without melting, so I went for this greenish-yellowish, cool and light blouse for a really fun and refreshing look! Hope you like it!

Let me know what you think.

Checkers

If there ever was a power look, this would be a pretty good representation of it. Pencils skirts are a great way to show you mean business while still looking feminine. I looked up the history of the pencil skirt and was surprised to learn that Wilbur and Orville Wright had a really impressive role in it, and then Christian Dior gave it the spin of how we know it today. Houndstooth is one of my favorite prints for its retro feel. With checkers making such a big splash with Louis Vuitton's collection, I couldn't be more excited in pairing these two statement prints. Everything else I maintained relatively simple except for the bag, the graphic Alexander McQueen clutch gave the look a more modern style. Hope you like it!

Cinched

'

I love doing the black & white combination, it can be so simple and say so much at the same time. The first time I wore this t-shirt I decided to play with the sketch detail and combined it with a striped A-line skirt for a super bold look (here), today I went for a more simple look and paired it with these skinny black jeans. I added this cover up for the unexpected twist it gave the look, it gave it a really feminine touch with its flowyness, cinched waist and beige old rose color. I love outfits that come across as simple, but well though of at the same time, this is a perfect example of what could've been just a jeans and t-shirt look taken 1000 notches up with this clever cover up. I like pairing my skinny black jeans with these booties or any black pumps because it elongates the figure, making you look like you have these amazing mile long legs.  Hope you liked the post!
